Terrace House final

'Erewhon' House

A few trees and pavement to 'ground' the building. Erewhon House - the name is an anagram of Nowhere.

Terrace House

Ink!

This term classes elected to continue working in ink. To begin I thought it would be fun if we all worked on drawing an old Melbourne Terrace House. I sourced several photos from the web as reference but students are encouraged to modify and change things as suits.

Pencil/planning sketch

Sketch outline (F pencil) transferred to 250gsm Lana Bristol board and first stages of inking using Staedtler Pigment liner pens 0.1 & 0.3 (Thursday class)

Progressive work in 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 pens (Friday class)

And some more from Monday class - will add another post after Wednesday class

If you are interested in joining one of my classes here in Victoria, visit my website and follow the links found on the opening page to a class near you.

Brunch

Brunch-time at Streat Cafe, Collingwood

While waiting for a friend who was held up in transit, I sketched a few things around the cafe.
Adel black pen and a wet finger (spit, ewww).

A great cafe, with a responsible environmental management and social consciousness; I highly recommend Cromwell STREAT if you are in the Collingwood area. Plus, their 'Son-in-law' breakfast is to die for!  And Tacit Galleries are just around the corner!
