A few exhibitions now on and well worth you checking out.
First is TACIT ART 'ARTBOX. 40+ invited artists, a lidded box 25 x 20 x 7cm made at Tacit. Come see what has been created! Painted lids, all sides, inside and outside, objects inside, deconstructed box... so many creative and innovated ideas in this fantastic show. Opening was last night (crowded), and the show runs until the 23rd of December. Do go and see it.
'Nest Box' by Linda Weil©. The lid is tea, pencil and color pencil drawing, the interior is an assemblage of found and created objects.
Next is the annual 'Little Treasures' exhibition at VAS. This features a large variety of small artworks, showcasing the many different artist of the Victorian Artist Society. Perfect Christmas gifts for the art lover in your life - or yourself! Selected works from this exhibition will run until early Jan - see the link for further information.
And if you are travelling up the coast of Victoria this summer, do drop into Port Fairy to view the annual Biblio Art Prize at Blarney Books and Art. Always worth a visit to this show of exciting, eclectic and interesting works based on recent Australian authored books. BIBLIO
