Merry Christmas!

 Some Vintage Australian cards

Wishing you all a very Merry one and a safer, healthier 2021. To send you greetings I have found some  fun and some rather bizarre vintage cards online that are great fun!

Starting with this great image from one of my favorite Australian artists, Lionel Lindsay;

Then there is this rather frightening Emu attack! 'eek!' She said:

Kangaroos go gold panning? Why not, I guess.

...and Roos seem a popular favorite... this one is a talented artist...

.... this roo rides a camel! A vintage card from the war years... sadly the East African campaign was anything but peaceful.

Another poignant one.

And what the heck is that roo doing to that turkey? Covid vaccine perhaps? ( I think it is reference to the Turkish campaign in WW1)

But on a lighter note, this guy certainly is enjoying his Christmas Day!

Bizarre and strange... a Red-bellied black snake and a Cane Toad for Christmas?

Koalas get a look in...

And lets jam in as many native animals as we can!

A very odd one ... do you have oysters for your Christmas lunch? I think those are the white cliffs of Dover... and a ship travelling to the South?

Because we are a long way away.

Peace and Joy to you all - have a Most Excellent Christmas.
