'Dogrose' tree
I am not very happy with how this one turned out - I wanted to show the soft white/pink blossoms against the dark green leaves and thought the best aproach was pointilism. But I guess I got a bit impatient with it (hence washing in the leaves) so the work is not as successful as I would have hoped. Oh well, practice!
BTW- not sure if this really a 'Dogrose', that is what we call it, but it may be a crabapple or similar prunus variety of tree. It is currently flowering on the grounds of St. Patrick's Cathederal in Melbourne.
